Here is a recent oak kitchen we completely refurbished in the lovely village of Kislingbury, Northamtonshire. Around 4 miles from the centre of Northamton Town the river Nene flows nearby. One of the first questions im regularly asked by our clients is can an oak kitchen be hand painted and will the paint scratch off. My answer is it can definitely be painted and if the work is carried out by us it will not scratch off Guaranteed for a minimum of 2 years but realistically will last for many years to come.

Before work started:

As you can see in the before photos it was a very well made inframe bespoke kitchen made in solid oak around 20 years ago. The clients house had been flooded and the flooring had to be replaced so decided they would also update the kitchen cabinets and bring it more up to date with a specialist hand painted finish. With my son apart from Northamptonshire we also work across Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire & Cambridgeshire and cover the M1 & A1 corridors down to the M25 and surrounding areas.

Apart from painting oak kitchens we also regularly carry out the hand painting to Pine, Maple, Walnut & MDF kitchens. The client had contacted Chalon direct but decided to go with us to carry out the refurbishment. The client Jennifer actually told me it wasn’t to do with cost it was the way I had dealt with her enquiry from day one to the completed project. She told me that she realised after talking to me I was a very accomplished professional kitchen painter who was obviously very passionate about his work. I gave Jennifer advice on colour trends and handle styles and also sent her serval small hand painted colour samples. I have found this works really well with our clients and much better then just picking from colour swatches. You actually see the exact colour and finish you will have on your furniture and can veiw them under various different light conditions. This is a free service that we offer to our agreed quotations once a small booking deposit has been received.
