Gentle Cleaning
Clean painted cabinetry using a soft, damp cloth with mild soapy water. This removes everyday marks while protecting the paint finish.
- Mild soap and water only
- No abrasive pads or chemical cleaners
Regular Dusting
Light dusting with a dry microfibre cloth or feather duster prevents build-up and keeps the finish looking even.
Protecting Painted Surfaces
Use coasters, mats, and trivets to protect cabinetry from heat, moisture, and scratching. Avoid placing hot or wet items directly against painted surfaces.
Long-Term Care
With sensible care, a hand-painted kitchen will remain durable and attractive for many years.
First 7 Days After Completion
During the first week, the paint finish continues to harden. Treat surfaces gently, avoid heavy cleaning, and wipe splashes promptly.
What to Avoid
- Abrasive pads or scouring sponges
- Bleach, ammonia, or solvent-based cleaners
- Prolonged steam or excessive heat
- Standing water around edges and handles
A Simple Routine Works Best
- Use mild soapy water and a soft cloth
- Keep edges and handles dry after use
- Avoid harsh cleaners and abrasive pads
- Use mats and trivets to prevent heat and moisture damage
