Here at Hand Painted Kitchens Northamptonshire we have specialised in refurbishing and painting bespoke kitchens for well over 30 years, We can Hand Paint your furniture or apply a spray finish both to showroom levels. We have carried out the refurbishment to 100s of kitchens through out the shires for many years, Most of our work is in Northants, Beds, Bucks,Herts and also Cambridgeshire.

This particular kitchen was a bit different around 20 years old the clients had originally seen furniture made by the company that supplied the kitchen at a trade fair at the famous Stowe school in Buckingham, Built to a circular design it was well before its time in a very modern design with the curved shaker style doors and drawers, The cooker hood glass extractor and ceramic hob have also stood up to the test of time well and still look very up to date. The clients decided that they would use three colours all from the  Farrow & Ball colour palette, The main  cabinets Dove tale, The Island Dead Salmon and a real stand out Bringal feature colour for the full height larder unit.

Before Photos: As you can see the main base cabinets where originally finished in oak so quite a tranformation when painted. the clients also wanted a new fridge housing built around there new fridge, Pete our recommended kitchen fitter was the man for this he designed made and installed this ready for painting and matched the shaker door design to the existing kitchen cabinets.

How We Refurbish And Hand Paint Your Kitchen:

Once we have agreed a start date with you on day one will will strip out the kitchen, We remove all the doors & drawer fronts which are taken back to our workshop to be completed, This leaves us free to refurbish and paint the framework and carry out any repairs if they are required, On an inframe kitchen where the doors and drawers fit into the frame they will occasionally require to be eased before refitting, this would be carried out in the workshop, We firstly give the complete kitchen furniture a deep clean with degreaser, We then sand down and make good to any holes or cracks, Apply the adhesion primer normally mixed in the top coat colour. We then check again for any fine surface filling sand down again apply a 2nd primer undercoat if required, It is now ready for the final two top coats sanding down in between coats with very fine finishing pads , the dust is vacumed off and a tack cloth run over the surface to remove any traces of dust. We have followed this specification for many years and know that it works and can Guarantee your kitchen will look like its just come out of a showroom and will last you for many years to come.
