Vinyl Wrapped Kitchen & Bedroom Doors – Affordable Refurbishment In The Shires UK By Traditional Painter

This is a recent refurbishment  carried out by Traditional Painters Paul C Barber & Son in Northamptonshire. The vinyl wrapping on these bedroom doors was de-laminating and lifting away from the MDF underneath. The client was looking into having the doors replaced all 17 of them, but the quotes where astronomical and way beyond her budget. Thats when she decided to look into the possibility of having the doors refurbished. As We had already completely refurbished the clients kitchen cabinets with a hand painted finish she asked us if it was possible to carry out this work on the wardrobe doors.

We completely removed the vinyl wrapping to reveal the MDF underneath in perfect condition, MDF is what most kitchen and bedroom furniture manufacturers use for making doors. In the factory they would be vinyl wrapped or spray painted, We finished the doors in a bespoke hand painted finish in Wimborne White. We use a specialist furniture paint that can be colour matched in any colour including all the Farrow & Ball and Little Green Paint Library colours and most other leading paint brands. The paint we use is very durable and is used by many kitchen & Bedroom furnture manufacturers in the UK and comes in a semi matt or satin finish what ever you would prefer. 

The completed wardrobe doors looked like new in the bespoke hand painted finish and would be guaranteed for 2 years against fare ware and tear. We completed four sets of doors in the four bedrooms for around 25% of the cost of replacing the doors.
