Paul and his son have been carrying out the hand painting to kitchens across the UK for over 30 years. Paul started in the trade in the mid 70s and is one of the most accomplished and experienced specialist hand painters in the UK today. He started Hand Painting bespoke kitchens in the 80s predominantly in the North London and Hertfordshire areas. Back then Smallbone was the must have hand painted kitchen and Paul has painted many over the years. He even once met Charlie Smallbone the founder of Smallbone kitchens on a installation of a new kitchen that he had been commissioned to hand paint in Hampstead in North London.

This is a recent Howdens Chelford Shaker style paintable kitchen that we have recently repainted. When it was 1st installed the client commissioned  a spray service to paint the furniture. Unfortunately the work was carried out to a very poor standard. In fact the paint started to scatch off after only a few weeks. The spray service had not prepared or applied a primer before spraying the top coats this resulted in the paint not adhering to the surface. We had to completely sand down and remove the failed coating and start again. We applied the correct adhesion primer and completed with 2 top coats hand painted with brush and roller.
