Paper Hanger Northamptonshire City & Guilds
WHY SHOULD YOU USE A CITY & GUILD TRAINED PAPER HANGER :
I was recently commissioned to hang several different expensive wallcoverings to a period property in Northampton, The house was an old convent that had been sold as a family home with 9 bedrooms.
The building work had been carried out to a high standard but when it came to the decorating it was well below par, The decorators at the house had tried to hang 3 feature walls in different rooms, all where done that bad that they had to be striped off.
Thats where I came in the clients found me on the Traditional Painter.com web site after searching for a good paper hanger. My associate Decorator for Northamptonshire Paul Ian Barber went in first to prepare the walls to the standard required before cross lining with 1000 grade paper, This was allowed to dry for 48 Hrs, It was then down to me to hang all the finish wallcoverings to 4 bedrooms, Hallway & Music Room, There was a mixture of wallcoverings from the William Morris Archives and a couple of prints from the USA slightly wider then UK papers at 27 inches
As you can see from the photos they all turned out well and the clients where highly delighted with the completed work. Its a shame they did not contact me in the first place before the other so called decorators had messed up a £1000 worth of wallcovering and the cost to strip off what they had done. A bad experience for the clients to go through but if they had properly researched for a paper hanger with CITY & GUILDS qualification and reviews on line in the first place this would not have happened.
