I am from the generation that left school at 16 and went straight into an apprenticeship literally finishing at school 1 week and starting work the next as an apprentice painter . Worked 4 days a week and attended technical college 1 day a week for 4 full years, achieving my City & Guilds Certificate with destination. And now with over 40 years in the trade i think its safe to say i can call myself a master painter, there’s not much i haven’t seen or had to put right in the bespoke kitchen world. I formed my own company PCB Decs way back in 1982 and I am proud to say it is still running to this day, my Son joined me in the business over 15 years ago and he is now a 3rd generation master painter.
